Singapore has been hit by one of the worst forest fires in Indonesia ever. For the first time in Singapore history, the pollution index went past the 400 mark today. It is now officially life threatening for the ill or the elderly to breathe in air normally.
N95 masks are sold out nationwide. I currently have 3 in my possession and they are such precious commodities right now. I'm afraid of being robbed on the streets not for my money or valuables but for my N95 mask!
It's a miserable time in Singapore right now and no one can tell when this haze would start to subside. Everyone's just in a really bad mood and trying to stay indoors as much as we can.
I'm meeting the girls for dinner tonight! Actually could tell from our group chat that everyone's not very enthusiastic because of the stupid haze, but we are so sick of staying at home doing nothing that we're willing to risk it. Though on my part, I'll want to go home as soon as dinner ends so as not to prolong exposure to this very harmful air!
Was thinking about P the other day and thankful he's not around to suffer and breathe in such lousy air! He would have been quite miserable too. *smiles* I still miss him loads, but we're all coping better now.
